I always get asked why I joined the US Navy? Well to answer all the questions, I was raised in Falmouth, Kentucky 30 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio; my enitre family owned farms so that is where I did most of my work and made my money until I was 16. I was a manager at a car wash until 19 when a Navy recruiter stopped in and talked to me about joining. I was against it at first then I looked around and saw that there was know way I was going to be able to make a nice living staying around there.  I joined to be a Navy Seal, however during the testing phase at bootcamp I broke my ankle and was sent to the fleet. I made a goal to get into that community as quickly as I could. In 1998 it happened I made it in there (the specwar community) I am not a seal. The best duty one person could ever have. It was there that I almost failed a PT test and decided that I would have to really ramp up my physical fitness stantards and maintain them for the rest of my career. As you can see by my photo that PT tests are now no problem for me at all.  I have been all over the world and love what I do. I get satisfaction when I know that my efforts out here make you all rest easy at night to know that someone is standing watch over you.

Cosmo Ms has announced their calender girls for 2008. April (me) has been named Ms June, Ms July, Ms September, Ms October and Ms November.

The calender will be for sale shortly. I will post the link as sson as it it up. Ms Cosmo is run by Worldwide pageants. They are a nonprofit and all proceeds to to breast cancer and heart causes.

Mrs Metropolitan will be announced any moment now. When I find out the results I will post that also.

I just had to share. I'm really excited.

Thanks for your comments on my journal entry. It is good to hear from other guys who agree with what I said.

Also, thanks for your Navy service. I was a Navy brat and still love the Navy eventhough I ended up not joining myself.

Talk to you later.

NO, thank you for the walk on role on the friend list.  Core training and stretching is where it is at when you have a lower back injury.  Nice side affect......strong abs...smile.  Hope that back is feeling better.

I too have an L-5/S-1 injury.  I feel off a bridge into a rocky ravine when I was 16.  So far with treatment, I have not progressed beyond a bludge.  It can be painful at times and a hard place to find relief, but I don't let that stand in my way.  I use yoga to help keep me limber and find relief.  What kind of treatment are you under?
