About Bodyhawk
Height: 6'2in. Marriage Status: Married
Main Goal: Eat more, weigh less Best Features: My body (quite a bit of it) Wants To Change: My body (the other bits) Motivation: Chocolate milkshakes Advice: Do as I say, not as I do
How to describe myself? Well basically i'm a pretty positive sort of person. Perhaps too laid back to be highly motivated (I am no body fascist). I find my body humorous at times - I find most bodies humorous at some level. I also think bodies are wonderful miraculous things that should be truly appreciated. However, I don't believe in treating my body as a temple because (a) life is too short and (b) if you own a Rolls Royce you can't go off-roading. Why am I here? Well I would like to get my humorous, non-motivated, un-temple-like body into some sort of better shape and I thought this site might provide some ideas and motivation. I also have a general interest in people's attitudes towards their bodies, and worry that people are sometimes too obsessed with perfection when they should be loving their bodies with all their faults and signs of age (well, maybe not ALL their faults...). I live in Australia, which is pretty cool (except that it is often hot - but you know what I mean). I'm happily married with two beautiful children, which gives me an even perpsective on life (and means I'm not here to 'pick up'). Feel free to say hi.

Thanks for stopping by my page. Believe it or not I have actually been able to really enjoy pretty much all of my pregnancy...so far. Some aches and pains but nothing I cant handle. It really is the best kind of miracle! We are very excited for him to finally get here so we can meet him! Take care!

The Tartan I wear is Royal Stewart, tartan of the Queen. I'm not Scottish...I'm Polish and German. Funny Huh. Thanks for the nice compliment! Have a great week Sharon

Yes, indeed. And if the body isn't a temple, what is it? Certainly something temple-ish as it is capable of so much!

Hawk! Oh my! You and Skinny have an almost identical soundtrack! Love Will Tear Us Apart is one of the best songs ever made! I love Nick Cave, although it seems no one in the States knows who he is. What a shame. And I'll listen to anything the Smiths have to sing. Thanks for that. I love that you put a lot of thought into it! Now wasn't that kind of fun and reflective?

Hey, Hawk! It's good to see you! Yeah, gotta love the Ska! Fishbone has been around since the early 80s, and if you have some time I recommend looking them up on myspace. Sorry to hear your work schedule is overwhelming. But what's an environmental scientist to do in a time of global warming? I'm gearing up to get back to the gym, and I'm posting a journal today about music. Read when you get a chance. I would love to hear your input on it. Cheers!
