My Plan:                      Weight training 3x week; cardio 2x; clean diet during the week and treats on the weekends!
Motivation:                  Seeing other people my age who are fit makes me want to workout harder and eat cleaner. in.I can do that!in.
Accomplishments:   I've already lost a few pounds and I am stronger than I ever was.
Advice:                        Just do it! Even if it's taking longer than you expect, don't give up. Your will reach your goals.


Who is SugarMomma?  My nephew used to call me 'momma' when I babysat him.  I used to joke and say 'I ain't your mama'.  So, the kids started calling me 'ain't your mama' and it soon became 'sugarmomma' like the grandmother on their cartoon 'the Proud Family.' So there you go!

Welcome to MyBodySite! A lot of people ask why we created MyBodySite.  Here's my motivation: we all have an idea in our mind of how we would like our bodies to look or what we are attracted to. Everyone's opinion of what is beautiful is different and I think that is what is amazing about the multitude of different bodies God has put on this earth. For me, I have personally always enjoyed working my body and challenging myself physically. Watching my body grow and change when I was pregnant and then working to get it back has been, for me, like molding a block of living clay. We only get one body, so we need to respect it and learn to love it.

I have no desire to look like a teenage girl again, or a perfect-figured model. Those bodies are beautiful, but I can't turn back the clock. My husband and I turned 40 this year and although it freaked me out at first to think I'm getting old, I realized I like myself.  I'm not perfect and I will never be, but I'm in a great place.  I'm working to keep what I've got, looking as good as it can look, for as long as possible to be healthy, fit and strong. I always feel like I can make improvements. It's important to me and integral to my happiness that I am NOT driven by the way I look. Instead, I'm driven by the challenge to stay fit, to stay strong, and to be an inspiration to others. I hope that I am and that I can be.

I just never want to be the person who brings other people down. You know the type, you bump into them from time to time and they are always sick, tired, too fat, too skinny, and on and on. They just suck all of the energy out of a room. I want to BE the energy in the room. The only way I think you can be that way is to keep your body and mind fit and have faith in God. I believe God wants us to look and feel as good as we can so we will inspire others to do the same. The old saying - 'when you look good, you feel good' works for me.

Here's some more about me. I live in sunny South Florida and I love the hot weather. I am originally from NJ but could never move back North after enjoying life in a tropical climate for several years. I have two absolutely amazing and beautiful children who are the main focus of my life. I am very happily married to a wonderful man who was my first love. We have been together since we are 13. We are both interested in fitness, health and just looking and feeling good.

I like to workout, hang out with my family and I love to cook. At my house, if we're not cooking, we're eating and if we're eating, we're probably talking about what we're going to cook next. It's an Italian tradition that goes back, for me, to my grandmother.  My secret to staying thin and healthy? Eat. :)

Y thankyou Mrs Sugar!!  I have been training normal and non stop just not doing a diet or cardio.  maybe I will start that in Feb to get ripped for spring.  Hope all is well with you and John boy.  Hows this economic crisis effecting you guys?

Wow.. thats great.. 30 days.. well for me i haven't started yet (well sort of) I was sick with the flu from the 17-27th Nov. and now just getting back into my routine. I'm on Day 4 clean eating which means I did not have any sugars as of yet. :P  But I plan to be a successful one :)

How's the sugar diet going?  I need to start on something like this.. cut out all processed sweets, on my cheat days the first thing i go for is the cookies, cakes and ice cream im an addict.. I think what i should do is baby steps have my sugar fix ever 2 weeks to start and go from there.  I'll start Monday :))
